EPX-75 is Samson's most cost efficient jacketed Dyneema high performance mooring line.  A thick, durable and heat-resistant polyester fiber "turbo construction" outer braid encases the 12-strand Dyneema SK-75 fiber core.  This fiber core represents the strength member of this mooring line.  By protecting the strength member core, EPX-75 will provide excellent service life and residual strength.

EPX-75 is designed to have the cover and core work in harmony during service life.  Care is taken in design and manufacture to prevent excess cover slack during mooring operations.  The rope is spliceable and can be re-spliced or repaired if damaged.

The firm round construction of EPX-75 provides a synthetic replacement to wire rope mooring lines, works well on winches, and is easy to deploy and retrieve.  While not as flexible as non-jacketed braided high performance ropes, EPX-75 is still flexible enough to grip winch surfaces and wrap around bitts during mooring operations.  EPX-75 is not recommended as sure as a tug working line wrapped around bitts.
